This video shows a person playing an Asteroids clone without looking at the screen by using sound alone. The game was developed to allow the user to with a visual impaitment know where an in game object is in relation to the players character by assigning the in game object an unique sound. It then produces the sound in a specific way that makes the user believe that they can hear that sound from the direction the object is in relation to the user in game character.
The results of the evaluation were published at the Audio Mostly conference in 2008.
