Tree by the River - Iron & Wine (Cover)

I thought i "celebrate" the oncoming new I&W album release, playing one of my favourites from the record. Well it's not that of a surprise since i think to remember that he played this song acoustic live for months now.

Great works again nonetheless. Make sure you get your hands on a copy if you're open minded and ready to break a bit apart again from the last record. Every time an experience of it's own.

not his rendition. Sam Beam did a solo session for NPR radio and he did this song with this style. If you want the chords and fingerpicking pattern its on ultimate guitar and probably a bunch of other tab sights. I'm not taking anything away form this guys cover though good voice good guitar playing nice job.

I heard this version on one of his many live performances. I used it then as a reference. As stated in the description.

I don't know about any tabs, but I simply wanted to do a short tribute. I'd never say it's my own version or to own any rights to play it. Everyone has to make up their minds individually about that.

I hope you're not too offended that I covered Sams work without giving it a whole new approach.

@DerSekundenfaenger My bad I didn't read the description. I wasn't offended or anything haha I just see it all over you tube where an artist does a new rendition of their song which is then covered by people and then everyone thinks the person doing the cover is some amazing genius for recreating the song. I never expect anyone to do a whole new approach on a song just give credit to the artist which you obviously did so again my fault. Good job though as I stated before.
