Survey Nation spent the day asking voters about the recently nominated Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. In mid-August, the Alaska Governor lived in relative anonymity, barley registering on the political radar and a long-shot for GOP VP pick. Today, a mere 2 weeks later, her popularity has rocketed to superstar proportions and her role as the first female VP candidate on a Republican ticket has made her a figure for the history books. Receiving just 1 million fewer television views that Barack Obama's presidential acceptance speech, Palin's speech at the Republican Nation Convention was a clear highlight, overshadowing the convention headliner John McCain.
Now we have to ask: What is it about Sarah Palin? Agree or disagree with her policies, Sarah Palin's popularity cannot be denied. The boldness of McCain's decision cannot be understated. Is she another example of media hype, or is she a true representative of the next generation of American Conservatives.
Feel free to take part in the conversation.

I so agree i think if you really think of men and women as equals you completely have to forget the gender and physical part but view there mind and opinions
there sex shouldn't play a role in the election but yet again that doesn't mean it is sexist to criticize there opinions
every one is playing the gender card to much and then there complete hypactrics in calling sexism

what a load of shit get real of course her speech writers are good they create all the shit she says of course she has opinions but do they really come out when you speaking nothing but others words and really a little sexist with the cowboy hats comment and they say the media is sexist

That sounds like a deal, although it could take years for us to see the ultimate results. It could be outside my lifetime, but I believe you understand the concept of what is for us in lieu of what is done to us. You can take the statement in many, many aspects of life. I am a pediatric hospice nurse and this is a statement we use to help parents try to decide which treatments they allow their child go thru.

Ok, when our current President leaves office and the dust settles, let's revisit this thread and see if we both agree. Sometimes those that do things TO us are far more lasting then those that do things FOR us.

Grow up people... really is that all you have to do is bash people rather than do something constructive with your lives. Really...

Review your history and see who were considered the worst presidents at time of office. Then look at the country now and what they did for our country. It takes years for one to age to wisdom. My grandmother taught me this when whe was 94 y/o. When she died at 100 y/o's old her wisdom far surpassed mine at 45 y/o. It just takes some years to "grow up" as she would say. To look back in history and see what people did "for" us rather than what they did "to" us.

Funny that all political people are currently saying he is the worst. American was already a great place for us to live with or without GW Bush. Funny thing is, when Bill Clinton left office we had money in our Checking account, now we're bounching checks left and right. From Surplus to Deficit and now we're borrowing your great grandchildren's money from China. WOW.
