Hummel Fantasie op.94 for Viola and Piano

Performance of Johann Nepomuk Hummel's famous Fantasie (op.94) for Viola and Piano at the Krashna Musika chamber music recital June 14th 2009, in Delft, the Netherlands.
Accompanying me on the piano is my lovely wife Marianna Marras, with an informal "Free Arrangement" score by M. Kugel. I'm grateful for her support and critical comments.
Many thanks also to my viola teacher Julia Dinerstein, who suggested I play this piece, and taught me how to do it.

@Worfbuckle: Thanks for noticing :-) in Zemlinsky's "Maiblumen" you hear my new Maggini model, a sonorous gift from heaven, which crossed my path this time last year. I wish I'd had it to play this Hummel with... everyone deserves an instrument like that, it intensifies the joy of music making...

Is the piano so aggressive beacause of the player, of the instrument or of the acoustic?

@LorenzoLassek : As you can tell, we should have put the lid down; It is certainly not the most refined of instruments in the first place. Next to this, the viola I was using at the time did not have a lot of "power", so it got drowned out easily. We unfortunately did not have time for an acoustic balance test. Don't shoot the pianist :-)...

Thanks! ... I have not yet played the Mozart double concerto. I switched to viola rather late (playing the violin originally) and in fact only have had viola lessons for the past 12+ months. This (Hummel) was my first "educated" viola solo project.
