I have to admit though, a lot of his compositions have similar melodies especially in the horns.

His voicings are hip as hell. I hear him play a lot of tritone subs, anything to make it really dirty. I dig it

this guy really is NOT good, terrible technique, terrible chord voicings, and his improv is distasteful.
to anyone who is looking for modern pianists to listen to and copy, this is not a good role model.

Help me understand your angle, ET6900: You're trash talking someone who actually has his own voice, while at the same time recommending to aspiring musicians that they go and find someone to copy. I can't figure out if you have something against originality, or if you just flat out don't know shit.
