High-Five, Zen824. I also agree that Kyokushin & Taekwondo are cooler and more fun to watch than Muay Thai style

@gyromancy2 a little correction. Kyokushin is beautiful. Really beautiful. But unlike Taekwondo, in Kyokushin's center there are the rigid rugged style. Every beautifulness there is a rigidity. For example the spin kick, it is must be soft to been done perfectly. When doing it correctly, any blocking by hand is useless. You just have to get the kick out of its momentum line. Unlike most Muay thai kicks, Kyokushin kicks are more flexible and yet more stable than most muay thai kicks. :)

Why are the non-asian Karate guys like Filho & Hug & Feitosa always the ones who are entering K-1?? Are the Asian karate guys just shy, timid, and afraid to enter ?? Wouldn't you rather see the beautiful styles like Karate & TKD flourishing instead of the rugged styles like Boxing and Muay thai flourishing??? Because right now, the rigid, rugged styles like Boxing and Muay Thai are dominating the combat sports world unfortunately.

Because there are no true karate guys left, that's why. The ugly boring styles like Boxing & Muay Thai are dominating the combat world. That's the problem. Why are you Asian people so shy about bringing Karate, Taekwondo, and Kung Fu to MMA. There are billions of Asians that know these great arts, yet they don't enter MMA with them, Why are they so timid? There's not one true karate guy in MMA today except for Andrews Nakahara.
