When Camels Attack!

In my best cheesy British announcer voice, I am describing a camel who came to visit our camp one morning. The camel got interested in the camera, then decided it was EVIL and spit on it! Camel spit smells.

No, he wasn't emaciated...his humps are upright, indicating that he was getting enough food to store some away as fat. You've probably just never seen a camel that has been sheared for it's hair before. Mongolians use the hair to make yarn and felt. I have to admit, it does make them look funny. I did offer the camel a dried apricot, which he politely refused. He was busy chewing his cud. As far as other food, we were in the Gobi desert, which the camels happily inhabit, both wild and domestic.

@yogozarfy It`s nasty. It`s their defense mechanism for a reason. Imagine really, really bad dog breath and sour milk mixed. That gives you a general idea, but still doesn`t do the stench justice. It's kinda like llama spit.

@mrsmileyface543211 Haha, does it really stink bad? What's the smell like? Is it just sorta a human bad breath smell, or different? Just curious, lol. I have a friend who said a camel spit on him and he felt like he was gonna barf, and I don't see how spit can be that bad =p.
