Your religion is horrible

We are very opinionated and it's about time to talk about religion.

Does your religion tell you to hate me? Do they tell you that I am a bad person for not believing in their stories?

There are some people that are extremely religious and some that just want religion to make them feel good but both are to blame. Whether you believe that the bible is the truth, or you just choose a few parts and celebrate a few holidays to make you feel like a good person. Can you quote the bible or just the Christmas songs? Do you lie to your children or to yourself or to me? It is not good to believe in these fantasies that tell you that I deserve eternal pain.

But after all this time there are so many people around me that pick and choose which parts of the bible to worship. And condemn me for denouncing it entirely. So many people get hostile with me for simply stating that they are wrong and that there is no reason to believe in something that they can't prove. It is amazing how many people are unwilling to talk about their beliefs to someone that questions them. If you come to me and act like you want to change my mind without the proper logic I will treat you with the same hostility.

Saying that your religion just makes you feel good is an insult to me. There are too many people that believe in this nonsense and feel like they are special for it. I like to let people know the things that they were told would make them into a good person, has made them out to be a bad person after-all. But that is probably difficult to deal with and most people will become very defensive.

I am here to discuss anything you want. We would love to hear from the atheists community too.

ok now i understand why these guys are soooo boring, they have 0 spirituality in their life, now im not saying they should be christian ( I am not christian by the way ) but there is a difference betwween being spriritual and being religious i believe we are here for a reason and that there is some sort of higher power beyond our understanding, but we can get close to understanding by having some spirituality. I strongly disagree with the bible and almost all christian beliefs and values.

the point of religion is of control masses of people. they do teach rape and other very gory and inhuman things in the bible. i have read the bible more then once and i can say that it seemed to be written by a very self centered bastard who thinks that everyone should obey him,
