I walk the Fintry hills and Kilsyth hills regular. These turbines along with heavy forestation are a growing eysore.Often they don`t turn. They did not for most of the cold snap and that lasted a Month! so don`t depend on them to much. The scar of pylons to get the energy from turbines will soon blight down throught the heart of the highlands to the lowlands. These things should be out at sea.We should be looking at many more alternatives for energy and not depending on these ugly 200ft obsenities.
With the price of oil likely to remain high and peak oil either here or going to happen in our lifetime (according to who you believe) we need a much more aggressive renewable energy policy for the UK.
