I wanted to hear him finish. :(

The Borders "Not So Open" mic night. Always fascinating to see the spirits get restless in the face of the Word being preached. Maybe you helped them sell a few Bibles, if they even stock them anymore.

No,he's right. There's a time and place for everything. and it's time to share at that place. Glad he knew:)

Boo to borders for not letting the man speak.. open mic night is just what it means Open to anyone that wants to speak. Free speach isin't just about if you want to hear it or not. Its free to all. Let the man spread the message about his religion, if a muslim man stood up and preached the Qur'an the borders guy wouldn't dare to try and kick him off. Even though I do not 100% agree with what Jay Peters is saying, you must give respect to someone that can get up in front of total strangers.

Revelation 22:18
18 For[i] I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add[j] to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away[k] his part from the Book[l] of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

And if this were any other kind of annoying and controversial stunt that had been shooed off the stage, no one would give a crap about it beyond maybe saying "good riddance!"

Can't find anything wrong in what you said. Honestly, I would have got up and walked away from the "Left Behind" speech. Anytime you have an open mic you are going a have lot of variety (understatement). They still shouldn't have shut his mic any more that would cut off the drunken 50 yr old toothless chick that sings "you light up my life" off key. It is all a matter of fairness. A five minute time limit would have been proper or even a disclaimer saying it must be an artistic presentation.
Well, if it was a private business, he had every right to shut your mic off. Sounds like he wanted to bring in poets and singers and not preachers. Still, as a promoter of freespeech, I think it kinda blows.
One more thing, as a frequenter of open-mic nites and bookstores, if you're gonna do it in the future, PLEASE try and use some material other than "Way of the Master" so it will be at least a little interesting and original.

I tend to agree with imrational; the whole Kirk Cameron speech is kind of an old hat. However, I don't think that guy should have turned the mic off... that is messed up. What harm were you doing?
