This is an interesting analysis of the Alan Sokal hoax from the pov of a sociology of scientific knowledge expert. He expressed how the Sokal hoax did not "disprove" SSK. But what I want to know is - how did you get the image to "pulse" like that?
But physicists publish ideas that no one knows whether they are hoax or not. E.g. Frank Tipler is a professor of physics - he said that in the last 10^-30 seconds of the universe, we will experience an infinite time. (heaven?).
So Sokal is a nutter to pick on social science as an area to criticize.
