One more illusion shattered
One more broken dream
Oh that the morning brings the sun
Gone are the days when I could bounce right back again
See how the tears roll down
Like sweet summer rain
Where does it leave me now
I find myself so free again

Even the smallest traces
Of your sweet perfume
Open the flood gates and I m helpless
Now as the moonlight shadows
Cast across my room
Only the whispered words
Are heard in the night
Only a silent prayer
I love you still
I always will

Out of the dark I stumbled
Into the light
Only my fear has tumbled
I think I always knew
That I would run to you

Somewhere theres children playing
Somewhere far away
Running with open arms to greet me
Over the hill the sunset
Dies and fades away
I turn and I close the door
With one last goodbye
I will return no more
Ill take my heart and let it fly

  • Okay, Justin is my favorite artist in the universe ...and this is probably Justin's most hauntingly beautiful composition since, dare I say, "Nights In White Satin". It is delicate and powerful at the same time. From the gorgeous vocals to the touching lyrics to the angelic synth and classical guitar, this is a song that reaches deep within you. Anyone who has ever loved and lost cannot help but be swept away. Another masterpiece to cherish from Justin!

  • Thanks for the good work...

  • @27Jesusgirl so???

  • Justin told me I'm ugly

  • Thank you for the perfect visuals to honor most cherished memories and hopes for dreams to come true again. The end came suddenly, too soon to go back... but we remember our full moon rose, in sunsets painting and playing, in forever shifting sands neverending lovely daze in Laguna you & me& all your children you love will never ever forget,,. Your wishes, your ashes, to the sea. Rest In Peace Grandma Shirley

  • @MultiDean75 - Nights in White Satin was apparently written for Mr. Hayward's wife, just after he met her. They are still together!

  • This song always makes me cry. Just one more broken dream

  • Nights in white Satin, December snow, and this one - probably his three best ....

  • This beautiful sound stirs the soul. One can't help but feel the pain. How does Justin find the words and put them to such beautiful notes? He has to be the most inspirational lyricist of our time... coloradream, you take the most beautiful scenes on this earth and make us feel the music even deeper. Thank you!

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Gorgeous. Awe inspiring music. Leave it to a member of the Moody Blues to write something this wonderful. Leave it to American radio to ignore it. If you like this, check Barclay James Harvest's "Hymn." Another terrific track from a band that was once called "the poor man's Moody Blues."

  • The choice of video images that are applied to this song are ABSOTIVELY AND POSOLUTLY AWESOMELY CHOSEN !!!! Helps the listener to FEEL the meaning. SO well done. You coloradream people are good!

  • Love this and its translated beautifully with these pictures!! Thanks so much for this! saved as a favorite!
