THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH!! it is greyson chance's concert later and i wanted to use my dad's slr but the lens that was attached to it was the bigger one, but i wanted the smaller one, so i tried to change it and i've been trying to figure out how to change for like almost an hour. i watched a lot of tutorials, but out of all those vids, you're the one who really helped me!! I LOVE YOU!!!

@risottoporcini this is kinda late reply but whatever.... You should turn your camera off when you are changing the lens because the static caused by sensor (or whatever inside..i'm not a camera technician) can sucks dust in, however, it shouldn't cause any major harm to your camera. You just have to clean your sensor more often :)

Just want to know if there will be effect or damage occur because i change my lens without switching off... Anybody can help? Thanks!!!
this should apply to every nikkor lense right? so even if im putting on, let's say, the 50mm f.1.4 lense i just use the same method yes? :) sorry if this question sounded stupid but i just wanted to make sure i dont mess anything up :)

@elainelemon Yes, basically all of the Nikkor lenses work the same way. All of the Nikon equipment should have the same white dot system for you to follow.
