Your spark plug wire is sparking all over the place you need to fix it. You can see it in the video. There is your problem not the exhaust. or both?

i purchased a weed trimmer from homelite that worked twice, then wouldn't start. since it was brand new, i contacted the company, and they referred me to an authorized repair agent who informed me the carburator, spak plug and fuel line needed to be replaced. he did the work, then informed me it would cost $40. they stalled for two months while my lawn grew weeds, then refused to honor the warranty. i would never do business with these thieves again.

All two strokes get clogged exhaust, it's not really a design flaw. Just the way they work :)

Thanks for the tip! My weedeater would not start and had the same symptoms and lo and behold, those stinkin' mud daubers had sealed the muffler shut. Those blasted things can plug anything. We should figure out how to train them for levee repair!

Mister I want to thank you for your tip. Let me tell you. I was trying to fix our weed eater and nothing worked. I tell you, I was just about the buy a new one until I came across your video about mufflers clogging up with gunk not letting the machine breath. I tried what you were saying about cleaning out the muffler and put it back on just like you said and man let me tell you it worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip. You saved 200 from having to buy another one. :)

@matt78tv Ironic, fixed it and never saw a live one. This weekend I helped a widow lady by putting vinyl siding on her house and got stung by Wasps 12 times, turns out I'm allergic! I survived! But I evicted them from another home lol.

lol im not making fun of u but u sound like lary the cable guy
Recently came across a 30cc Homelite Trimmer that would simply not start.
When I pulled the cord I could tell it had good compression, when I primed the carb I could see the fuel was going where it should, the bulb looked new.
I noticed when i set the choke to full and pulled the cord it was very quiet, after a brief inspection I found the "Mud Daubers" had completely sealed the muffler shut! this was a new situation for me. After a brief cleaning it ran fine!

I've used the troy built for 3 or 4 years now and really like it. Nothing has broken on it and I cut around 3 or 4 acreas every week or two.

i have a home lite by john deer and it turns on then sttulls i cleand the carburator and the mufler but it still has the same problemwhat do you think it can be

Could be losing compression. Most likely spot for it to be losing compression is where that plastic covers the spot where you can see the side of the piston and crank at the bottom of the back. You could have a bad dried out seal. Could also possibly be the fuel filter stopped up or not getting spark.
