10 minutes was just not enough to install and introduce TrickleStar's hardware (and HomePro - the 3-pin plug), or should I say to cover some of the issues I had. Here its possible to outline impractical issues such as having a dongle hanging from your laptop (MacBook), to where I got my dongle and plug from and how much they cost. Just a few thoughts to tidy things up.
The main thing is its cheap, works in the UK and is OS X/Windows compliant (Snow Leopard compatibility update due soon as of Nov 3rd 2009). But once you start using it you'll notice that it really would be better if it were run from a server and not your main computer (which is prone to rebooting and sleeping), plus with more sophisticated stand alone software then possibilities like controlling your devices with the iPhone/Ipod Touch become a reality and intelligent conditions like automatically dimming the lights when a DVD starts becomes the norm. That's what we all want, right.
