I'm guessing there may be one or two other guys out there whose father passed without closure. It's a bummer man. For those whose father is still living, give it a shot - communicate baby.

@bigjim10011 sometimes dads find it hard to express love, for whatever reasons. could have been their upbringing or any emotional problem they may have experienced in their past. my advice would be to forgive him if he's still alive and tell him you love him, regardless of how he treated you. ask him to tell you what's on his mind and i'm pretty sure you can connect with him then
