Fun times

These are not all one person, they are a bunch of friends that I spliced together. Thanks for the comments!

Edit- I am aware that the first bit does not contain any bloopers, it is an intro. Stick with it to see the good stuff.

  • Well golly gee, thanks for the support. You have to watch the whole video, the intro is an INTRO to the good stuff. Please for me, go get help.

  • nice riding! What's the song called?! I love how you didn't beat up the horses when they refused. Good horsemanship :)

  • thanks for the comment! The song is (predictably) called Stay Home. It's on the Shrek 1 soundtrack

  • Good choice with Martengale

  • Who's the horse at Oxley at 0:40 ?

  • @screamingnightmares forcing it ummm th dosent sound quite right ur ment to push ie ride them over but u can never force a horse to do something it doesnt wnat to do as they r bout i duno 3x size and weight of us

  • I actually found out later that week that the log pile a couple of meters away from the jump was terrifying her! I let her check out the pile then she was okay :D Doh!

  • after a bit if he wouldnt go .. i would give a tap with the whip . then go over it again , but be like not harsh . but firm , to make sure he goes over the jump.

  • all i du is pull to the side with my rein

  • I know you aren't asking for other commenter's advice, but I've had this happen with a nice big warmblood at my ranch. What I did to get him over it is first take control. You're the rider and the boss, he/she isn't allowed to do it. If they are frightened, turn and do a few small circles before reapproaching the jump. If the behaviour continues, grab a crop and/or spurs and force that horse over the jump.

  • I have a question for you ^__^ I don't have a ridiung instructor right now so I don't know what to do. At 1:48 when the horse is giving littl rears and refused a fence, what do you do? My horse did that for the first time yesterday and I had no idea. I just kept at it and eventully got a crop out (after like 15 minutes) until she went over it once from both directions. But the next day she was doing it again. I know she wasn't in pain... I would really appreciate your advice! :D

  • Wow, that horse at 1:18 is beautiful!! Very nice video, I like it!! 5/5! Great job! Thanks for sharing! Everyone else who was saying mean stuff obviously can't read :)

  • This is a perfect example on why you should NOT stall your horse for 24/7 and why you should ALWAYS have SOLID groundwork before you ride.
