I do not own any rights to this song.
I grew up knowing this as the "I Love School Song" from the local radio station K104, every morning all throughout grade school.
The song is written by Dallas Native and gospel recording artist Nelda Washington. For more information about her and her music, read her bio below, or visit her page here:

"Whether crooning a soft, bluesy ballad or energetically belting a hot jazz number, Nelda Washington crosses all musical boundaries. A composer, arranger, singer and pianist, her music moves easily through contemporary pop, soul, easy listening, soundtracks, jazz and standards, all with a signature style all her own. Washington's singing style can best be described as interpretive. In both her original music and in covers of standards, she lends an added element to her performance that showcases any material in a new light. A talented singer/songwriter, Nelda achieved her first notice as teenager, when she was selected to study at Dallas's prestigious Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and Visual Arts. A native of Dallas Texas is back on the scene in Dallas Texas. Nelda continued her education at Oklahoma City University and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy. Nelda later transferred to Seattle Pacific University, continuing her work in Piano Pedagogy and adding a major in education. Nelda completed her teacher certification at the prestigious Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Nelda has a wide variety of musical experience in the music industry. Recently Nelda was hired to sing background vocals for Grammy award winning vocalist Regina Bell. Nelda was the opening act for Peabo Bryson's first "live" Gospel recording in Dallas, Texas, where she debuted her title cut "My Desire Is To Please You" from her newly released first, "home-grown" gospel/contemporary jazz CD. All songs were written and produced by Nelda. Nelda has performed as studio background vocalists for several local as well as nationally known artists on the rise within the gospel/contemporary industry, including such artists as Maylee Thomas, Benita Arterberry-Burns, W.T. Greer, Calvin Hunt and Da'maris Carbaugh of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, T.D.Jakes, By The Tree, and a host of local and national artist as well. Nelda has recorded numerous radio jingles and commercials for clients like top-rated urban station K104/FM in Dallas Texas, KJLH in California and a host of many other radio/television stations throughout the state of Texas, across the United States and in London, Europe and Japan. Currently Nelda has a song that plays on our top-rated urban station, K104 FM "I Love School" a song written to inspire children to "stay in school". The song has aired daily, since February 1997 to the present. Nelda has made many dramatic appearances in various plays and productions. Recently she appeared in "God's Got All Power" a Christian play portraying the character "Virginia" which debuted at the Potter's House in Dallas Texas. Nelda also debuted the stage play, "The Education of Willie James". She has appeared in Junior Black Academy's production of "Zanzabar" as Jolene, a jazz singer and has played the lead role in the Broadway musical and production of "Purlie" as Lutibelle for the Oklahoma City University's Fine Arts Department. Nelda is no stranger to television appearances for she has made an appearance on Dallas's local TBN: Thelma Wells & Associates with the Soldiers of the Cross' Children's Choir, Directed and Founded by Nelda as well as KMPX channel 29's Celebration "live" with Marcus and Joni Lamb. Nelda's achievements have received both academic and popular acclaim, and she has been honored with numerous scholarships and awards including, a four-year piano scholarship to Oklahoma City University, Outstanding Young Women of America 1986 and Music Merit Award from Junior Black Academy of Arts & Letters."
