Dust Storm in Sydney, September 23, 2009

September 23, Sydney, Australia. This morning sydneysiders woke to a red haze after strong winds brought large amounts of dust from inland NSW and South Australia, and dumped it on the whole of the city. The ruddy haze is caused by sunlight refracting through iron-rich dust.
Later in the morning the sun appeared at moments and it seemed bluish in colour.
