As most of you would have heard, in the summer of 2011 we had the worst floods in Brisbane in 30 years or so. Here we have a bit of a messed up collection due to the floods which occurred in January 2011 and the council just wanted the bins to be emptied. This was taken on my new camcorder, however I am still trying to get the quality at its best and is my first set of footage for 2011 because we only got back from Europe the day before. The regular garbage driver did the other side of the street and collected both the recycling and garbage bins together, not recycling service was run that day. I put my green waste bin out and he also collected that, however I wish I didn't as the driver had a little trouble putting it back and it got a bit scratched, however thats alright, the driver did his best and I told him it was fine. The truck that did my side of the street was a 'Recycling' truck, first time I have seen one of them collect anything other than recycling.

  • I see he brock your green waste bin. 712 was in my area today. would you ever see 711 in your area. I have seen him near that wizard paint shop over the bridge of honour av. he`s a nice guy. I have seen the new recycling driver you have. hes 806. he seems like a nice guy.

  • @brisbanegarbofan I haven't seen 711 before, but he must do close by, from the seeing the trucks that do my area. We actually have a new recycling driver/truck, its now 802. He does Graceville and I see him in Mornignside on the opposite Tuesday and 802 also does Wynnum where I build houses on Monday's. He is brand new to SL's and is getting faster every week. He is also a really nice guy and got to drive around with him a few times.

  • I know that recycling truck. its 810. that truck is my local recycle truck. no one owns that truck its just a truck anyone (drivers) could go around to do my route. at the start of the vidoe I saw that white paint thing on the side of it. what about the other truck. your local might be 713 if not 715 or 712. I know this because I got a ride in 713 and he told me local drivers in graceville. I just randomly asked him who are the drivers in graceville. he said it was himself but he left.

  • @brisbanegarbofan I remember seeing this driver in 810 collecting garbage on the day when the new trucks started, and earlier in 2010 when he was also testing a new truck, seems alright, didn't know he changed to recycling. I have footage of 712, he seems like a cool guy, as I said he regularly does the garbage in Graceville on Tuesday's and 709 does St Lucia and also Graceville. When ever I see 709 roar around the corner I get excited, he is awesome to watch in action and a really cool guy!

  • The mould of the ksb bin got wedged sorta with the grabber on the back of the bin of u watch it a couple of times u will see .he didn't grab the bin properly to start with

  • @brisbanegarbofan Well from what 709 was telling me the drivers are in put into team groups, thats what Sita calls them, and each team group has a team leader. The team leader from my local area is 715, he is the regular driver, he then has 709 and two other trucks in his group, I assume it might be 712 and 713 as they do around my area. However 715 often is helped out by fellow his fellow group members to finish the routes quicker. 715 does one side of my street and 709 or 712 do my side.

  • Nice video you never see one truck picking up the 3 bins.

  • i remember this collection i put my 3 bins out they would of gotten very full they reason why i dident get it on film it was the waste driver that dosent like to be filmed i have a different on now i will upload late
