Every time I hear this song I wanna cry... Partly because of the beauty it radiates, and partly because a part of one of the reasons I started to like the Chili's ( before I heard Hillel's awesomeness) has left and this song kinda reminds me. Don't get me wrong I think Anthony, Chad, and Flea are amazing but if you take eggs out of the ingredients of a cake it just won't be a cake. Maybe Josh can be egg substitute though. Hell everyone likes eggs by themselves so of course John will be fine. =)

@mussman717word I agree completely with what you said, im very curious as to what john will put out in the coming years, however im also very curious as to what changes Josh will bring to the Chilis, instead of being angry at john, im more excited about what the new album will be like and i cant wait to hear it :)

Yeah, I do think that years down the road, the Red Hot Chili Peppers (with John) will be like the Grateful Dead. Couldn't you guys see that happening? Now, though, John isn't a part of the Chilis and that's a great benefit for those of us who love John's solo work, because he has more creative freedom for a while, and then he'll come back for the re-union or something. I could be wrong, but I think John and Flea have some unbreakable chemistry that pulls John back in.

...and that's nothing against Flea, Chad, or Anthony because they're all great at what they do. It just doesn't match John's ambitions. I mean, could you imagine Jim Morrison with Led Zeppelin. It might be interesting to see, but eventually, it would have fallen apart because Plant was one of four equal parts that capped off the perfect blend. John Frusciante, admittedly, is always changing, and that puts a lot of demands on the rest of the Chilis, too. So, it benefits both of them.

I started out as one of those Chilis fans who was just curious about his music, but I don't understand how anyone can listen to an album like Niandra Lades or The Empyrean and not understand why he left. His artistic ambitions are so big that he just can't afford to compromise, even with one of the greatest bands around. Personally, I'm more interested in Frusciante than RHCP now, although I'm a bit more curious about Josh, lol. Fact is, John made the Chili Peppers great.
