Why? Because it has harmonica? Most bluegrass music has very impressive instrumentation and shouldn't be looked as being comical or hillbilly -- that's mainstream country music. Bluegrass music is much more complex and intricate than most popular music.

I swear I can hear a sitar in there....

Love it just like the original. I don't think people realize how difficult bluegrass is...

Even though Led Zeppelin was a very eclectic band, I didn't expect much from a bluegrass tribute to LZ. This version of Kashmir was sublime..

what key is the harmonica in?

somehow i know that led zeppelin would just love this
Amazing! As a rule, I really dislike cover tunes because they often don't bring anything fresh to the table in their treatment of a song. This one is very cool, excellently done. Hayseed Dixie remains true to the spirit of the original in this and other Zep covers I've heard them do. Thank you so much for posting this!

Are you sure it's played by Hayseed Dixie? I've looked at their discography but I haven't found this album.
