  • How does someone get EMT training? Is it something you go to a university for? Or maybe a community college / technical school? How long does it take (months, years)?

  • @theSlowPrepper

Community college or Tech school mostly. It usually takes a year going 2 days a week, however there are courses that can take much less time if you go full time. Or if you get hired with a fire dept, they will usually send you.

  • I am sorry if you have already said this, as I am sure you are asked this question a bunch, but what level certification do you have?

  • @SigOperator

I am an EMT-Intermediate with 15 years in service.

  • Hey Charper3006, I'm an EMT-B was wondering where you got your IV fluids? I have my personal jump kit but don't have fluids.

  • @BadAssRodeoCowboy

I got mine from the service I used to work for. I need to get some new ones. As an EMT-B, I dont think that you can perform IVs can you? However, if you wanted to have them on hand for like SHTF type emergencies then I dont suppose it would matter would it.? LOL
