  • love this approach, putting it in terms people understand to explain the magnitude of this problem!

  • Wow, that's a lot of money...almost as much money as the Iraq and Afghan wars cost.

lol who cares. fuck politics. i want money but you say wanting money is lazy. whatever.

  • Hmm, it'd make sense to look long term invest that kind of money into our infrastructure, education, and technology. That type of push would create jobs, a surplus even with current spending, and make our country better. Or we could look short term like Paul Ryan, who you support, and cut social programs while defending the wealthy's very low tax bracket. I guess that's what you get when you are paid for by the banking industry. Is that why you still haven't apologized to Elizabeth Warren?

  • @allway565 $250 billion x 9.5 years = $2.375 trillion. I don't remember why I made that comment but I think I wrongly included defense spending in that.

  • @amitbarfs You want more money from what? Welfare and social security? No wonder Tea Party members (example of working citizens who hate paying you for being lazy and worthless) hate you.

  • @NsaneNtheNbrane Not even close. It's cost a little over 1.2 trillion. While I don't think the war is a good idea, feasibly we could have three wars on terrorism.

  • You're a pathetic excuse for a man. You could not actually find a legitimate reason to argue against Elizabeth Warren's push for transparency in financial products, so you tried to embarrass her and call her a liar. I'm sad to have someone like you represent my state. I wish I was in your district so I could help vote you out of office.

  • I would burn it all to heat my house in the winter. That is all our currency is worth!

  • Libs call our tax cuts orgiastic & compare our reduction of gov to 1776 with the Moslem’s return to the Dark Ages. They don’t see the importance of defunding police, schools, fire depts, libraries, regulatory agencies (esp Food & Drug). So bridges fall down, tunnels flood, electrical grids fail. Granted denying health care to daughters & old ppl & eliminating food stamps is sacrifice, but if we give enough money to the top 2%, everything will be ok. Why can’t libs accept this simple logic?

  • What can I say to the Republicans? I've heard this bull before with Gingrich and Bush. It didn't work then; it'll work the same now. But the Republicans won't understand it as mentioned above; so I'll speak on a level they will: "You all are full of shit".
