I've never met David Munyon, but we have communicated via the internet and he's sent me some of his beautiful albums, which I've played from on my radio show. I've heard that David lives in an old trailer in Midland City, Alabama, that used to belong to Hank Williams Sr. Whether he's still there or back in Europe, where he has a strong following, I'm not sure. What I am sure of is that David Munyon is a singer-songwriter who is at peace with himself. Behind that calm are marks of wear and tear, wounds and blessings, but there's a sense in listening to his work that he's come to be at ease in his own skin, and that his purposes are clear. The song in this video, "Guitar Road," is dedicated to the late Townes Van Zandt. DL

  • great video, great song, thanks ...

  • Brilliant!!

  • Great song and voice...love it...thxs

  • Dave is a special soul, a real survivor, and his music expresses the essence of what his battles taught him.

  • Excellent!

  • God, when Munyon gets it right, he's jaw-droppingly good. This is such a lovely tribute to dear old Townes. This sounds like a CD I need! His Some Songs For Mary CD saw me through a year or two of difficult times in France (Souls of Africa is worth the purchase price on its own), and my dearest friend derived much strength from David's songs, in her fight with debilitating clinical depression. Munyon's music drips with compassion and the wisdom that comes with life lived on the edge.

  • Love his music.

  • Somehow I missed this one.. It's wonderful . The song and the video.. Lovely stuff

  • Grandiose!!! A great video and a great singer/songwriter. Thank you.
