  • Amazing Tuba

  • I think this music is glorious, and certainly worthy

of acclaimation. Jaco and the other musicians

involved are all personal favorites of mine. And to those

of you( hopefully few) who find this boring, here's

my advice: Try to look away from the abstract aspects

of this music and at least enjoy it on a cultural level :)

  • RIP Jaco P and Don Alias . . .

  • this is awesome, if you're not at least nodding your head along to this you have a major malfunction

  • amazing trumpet

  • Chris Farley on tuba!

  • 8:08 He does not need presentation..

  • @TheIr0nical Hey :) I recommend you Benny Goodman, Sidney Bechet, Charly Parker, Django Reinhardt, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Jukka Tolonen, Ornette Coleman... :) I love to listen and play jazz :D

  • @Pastorius333 What do you mean by "abstract aspects" and "cultural level"? I think music, especially jazz/instrumental is pretty abstract. Musicians try to deliver feelings with their playing but very rarely those feelings are clear (like happy, sad, lazy, whatever). Many times the feelings are abstract and inarticulate... If one can't enjoy these abstract aspects how can they enjoy it on a "cultural level"...?

  • Spectacular. Say I'm only seventeen and really want to get into Jazz but I don't know where to start....

Any recommendations? Besides Jaco of course. This has convinced me to get more into Jazz, because listening to stuff like this is always intensely satisfying and liberating. I LOVE IT.

  • 8:37- tuba bass line under electric bass solo!

  • @Pastorius333 Well said.
