I had a horse that used to do the same thing He was registered Quarter Horse. He passed away last year. I had him for 16 years.

It seems like the extra weight of a rider would just be a hinderance to horses like this.

some horses have scars form horse bites too you cant judge unless you know for a fact its not fair to the rider. I bought a horse with white marks on his withers he was a rescue and people commented on it all the time even tho im a professional saddle fitter and my saddle fit

Excuse me but some people still use wooden corrals, and I beg to differ with you. This horse, more than likely, is a natural at cutting...he is doing it because he loves it, not because he was trained to do it...

No, riders are not a hindrance to cutting horses. I know you commented a year ago but I just saw this video. I think you should read up on cutting horses...would be well worth your time, if you have not done so already...

Horses are like people, they all have different likes and dislikes. If you have a lazy horse that just gets mad when you ask him to do something he/she is just a pet. These horses have work ethic, they love playing around, just like a cat likes playing with a mouse:)

I knew this video was old, I remember when everyone had wooden corrals and Hereford cattle. No they don't just naturally handle a cow like that, that gelding has probably had a lot of training. There was a time when most ranches used cutting horses everyday. That gelding knows what he is doing like an old NHL hockey player, he is a good horse that enjoys playing:)

This is a very nice horse who unfortunately seems to have scars on his back from improper saddle fit.
