Part 3 of this documentary shows the betrayal of the leaders of the Labour Party of the Liverpool 47 in their battle in 1983 -87 against the Thatcher government.

Local Liverpool Labour MPs however, gave their support.

Liverpool Labour councillors, who were socialists, still continued in a struggle to save jobs and services, build houses, schools and sports centres for the people of Liverpool.

NB: This video, an edited version of that produced by the Liverpool 47 as a fund raiser, could not discuss the role of Militant (now the Socialist Party) in the leadership of the battle
