Vancouver Canucks NHL Awards 2011 & Highlights

Several of the Vancouver Canucks took home awards yesterday at the 2011 NHL Awards Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by funny man & comedian Jay Mohr.
Ryan Kesler took home the Frank J. Selke Trophy which is awarded annually to the NHL forward who demonstrates the most skill in the defensive component of the game. The winner is selected by a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association following the regular season.
Daniel Sedin Took home the Art Ross Trophy which is awarded to the National Hockey League player who leads the league in scoring points at the end of the regular season. He also took home the Ted Lindsay Award, formerly known as the Lester B. Pearson Award, which is awarded annually to the National Hockey League's most outstanding player in the regular season as judged by the members of the NHL Players Association.
Roberto Luongo & Cory Schneider took home the William M. Jennings Trophy which is an annual National Hockey League award given to "the goalkeeper(s) having played a minimum of 25 games for the team with the fewest goals scored against it. Winners are selected based on regular-season play.
Mike Gillis took home the General Manager of the Year Award which is awarded annually to the top National Hockey League general manager as voted by "a 40-member panel that included all 30 general managers, five NHL executives and five media members.
