  • REP. Israel... My only question for you is did you read all of the 1990 pages of the bill with two lawyers to interpret it for you? and if so do you understand it?

  • So I read this as "Ok mr 87 year old. You may have an endocrine problem causing you to lose weight but the few blood tests we did show that you are ok. Further tests are in order but instead we are going to let you talk to our social worker about living wills and end of life decisions instead. This happened to my father and I wondered when we left the doctors office if he is already receiving pressure from the gov't via his medicare billing

  • Actually, America already rations care--even without universal coverage. Remember, there are 50 million American Citizens, American men, women and children, who have NO coverage whatsoever.

  • The bill does not say care can be rationed - however ask your doctors and they will all say it will have to be once there is more pressures on them. There is also a section in the bill saying changes can be made later on to adapt to the policies. So while it doesn't say in the bill you will be rationed, look at history, look at other countries, look at massachusettes - or any of the other states that have their own "public options" and they all cave in and do ration.
