Let's put a smile on that face!!

Hi, I'm Al Franken and I sound like the Joker. Why so serious, Minnesota?
-
By attack do you mean point out Coleman's record? That's NOT what an attack ad is these days. A contemporary attack ad is made up of baseless questions about character. It's like arguing about whether green is a good color or not. Like Al said, he wants a debate about issues. But all Coleman does is try to say things like, "You wouldn't like the kind of guy Al Franken is. He told off-color jokes". That has NOTHING to do with Minnesota's representation in the US Senate.

Your comment has been up on Al Franken's video for 2 months now. Can you admit that you were wrong when you assumed that your comment would be censored? Al Franken IS the guy I want to represent my interests! Coleman has been Bush's mouthpiece and lap dog for too long time. Coleman has also taken millions from big oil and rewarded them with billions in tax breaks. Franken is funny, smart, sincere and he can admit when he's made a mistake; which is more than I can say for Bush or his lap dog.

This is what Mr. Franken did, and I think we can understand that; it would have been hard - even in the Cities - to become a professional commedian of national stature. I think we should be happy for this "local boy" that "made good", not forget that he's one of our own, and be grateful that he hasn't forgotten that either.
-
There are a number of us - Minnesotans born and raised - who have left our beloved homestate to go to university, and then, pursuing professional careers, have had to live out of state. But we always consider it home, regularly come back to vacation and visit friends and family, and often look for the right opportunity to move back home.
-
I'm not so sure about that - I think it's very important to point out what you're not, especially when you're competing against such a paid for character like Coleman.
I believe using disagreement on actual policy and anti-trust behavior as argument is a healthy negative tactic, as opposed to personality negatives, which Franken is being attacked with.
If Franken was going personal, I'd agree 100%

i support franken all the way but they need to stop the comericals about what the other guy did and start with what he is gonna do...they talk about the past not the future

That is very prosperous news. Very prosperous, indeed!

7 words!!: al franken is wrong for this election!!!!!!
"That's no joke. I'm serious about fighting for you."
Now there's a campaign slogan that gives me chills. Whether or not he wins, I believe that for many years to come, there will be colleges filled with students studying how Franken's approach to campaigning measures up to all the rest. He's campaigning the way it should be done. No mudslinging. No underhanded tactics. His competition challenges his youth, and he counters with Coleman's Senate record. That's staying on target. That's class.
