That's one big ass front wheel!

I'm a 5' 6" female and test drove one of these with the low seat. I was on tip toes but the bike is so light that I just leaned it a little when I came to a stop. Great pep and fairly smooth. The F650GS is also great but doesn't sit as high.

@onewheeldrive im considering the same thing. Would you recommend the F800R more or less than F800GS ?

I know the f650 can be restricted to 25kw but can the f800? Because im not a huge fan of the looks of the f650 and when the restriction comes off my license i want the extra bit of power. Thinking about upgrading from my yamaha wr125x supermoto to this. Opinions?

I'm currently a Senior in high school, and considering a motorcycle as my first mode of transportation in either the state of Boston or California. Would this be a realistic start for an 18 year old?

@kennethcolen I'd consider a smaller and lighter bike to start. The BMW is a realistic place to begin, but can be a bit spendy on maintenance and servicing.

Nice bike, shame it costs in my country, 3 times (yes 3x) what it costs in USA/CND.
I'd like to know if any KTM 640 adv owner switch to this BMW.

@motozzzen Actually I'm a 640 owner, and I didn't switch to the F800GS... instead I went for the 690 Enduro R.

GREAT review. Only came across your channel a while back and I think this review epitomises how all bike reviews should be. Light, informative, humorous with great scenery too. Admittedly, its hard to do that every time! haha. Alas, great review and has me interested in this bike. I tried the 1200GS last year moving from my R1 and Ducati Monster. However being a short ar$e it was a bit too big for me (5ft 9) so this looks perfect. Thanks for the video :-)

@iio58 Thanks! YOu can also outfit the F800GS with a low seat option if needed. Though it should be ok for your height.
