The beginning of the "B" plot, in our local production of "Drowsy Chaperone" - Portage Community Theatre, directed by Craig Golbesky. Nov-Dec 2010. The Man in the Chair - that's me - is playing the record of his favorite musical, and (though you may not really able to see it in this video) lifting the needle occasionally to freeze the action and give some back story, directly to the audience, on the actors or the era. This is a scene between songs - sort of a vaudeville sketch.

This is a copyrighted work, of course - performance rights are through MTI, Music Theatre International. Music and Lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar. I'm forever indebted to them for a wonderful show, a favorite of mine since the 2006 Tonys.
