FFTA2: lv2 VS Cinquleur (lv99) - Cornered Abuse

Credits to rdj522 for coming up with the idea. I refined the technique.

This is a 5-on-5. Level 2 team versus Level 99 team battle.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift is a very unbalanced game. But, it also has horrible AI.
To demonstrate, I present Cornered abuse.

At full power, Cornered deals 999 damage to a single target. This attack is unavoidable. However, this Blue Mage's ability reaches its full potential only when the user's HP is at single digits. Usually, this situation is rare. Extremely low level units coming back via Reraise may have single digit HP. This is the key to accessing Cornered easily.

Of course, low level units are Knocked Out easily. That's where the equipment comes in. Between the Ninja job's natural 15 Evasion, the added 65 Evasion from the equipment, and the added 10 Evasion from Agility Up 5, most physical attacks have only a 10% chance of hitting the Hume. The last equipment should be an Angel Ring, to allow for Reraise.

***NOTES***
1. I did use Action Replay to get level 2 units and give these units Abilities, but only to save 40 hours of my time. It is perfectly possible to have a level 2 team at this point in the game.
2.I have my Time Mages wait so that their turn order comes right after each other.
3. Blow Up not only set up for Cornered, but also removed Doom and Confusion from one of the Nu Mou.
4. Nu Mou are used because they are the only race that can have Quicken, Raise, and Reraise on a single unit.

Um, sir? you`re forgeting the white monk`s revive brings back an ally with 1 HP....so this is used to abuse cornered with a higher level unit.

Doublecasted (red mage ability) Summon spells are the best for magic damage.

another easy cornered setup is to use a ranger's mirror item elixir which reduces to single digits without killing if it hits, i know this isn't the best setup as it is expensive if you aren't cheating and is hard to do if you are boosting the blue mage's evasion but it is relatively quick and easy to set up

Has anybody else noticed that they switched up two of the names in this quest? The Blue Mage is named Nware, and the Black Mage is named Bliu in this quest, but it's supposed to be the other way around. Looks like they waited got sloppy and messed up once they got to "the Final Quest."

@mirorlink I feel the same way. i had a viera sniper/assassin with halve mp and ultima masher and got the mp efficiency privilege. that, combined with my time mage using hastega, and a couple of other units just crippling the mages with silence/disable, ended up making that battle a slaughtering.

ps: my units where between 50 and 55 back then

dudes i got 3 ultima weps from an action and i deafeated flow sand using it without dieing yay ^^
