@hydogify ....because the trees are in my back yuard and I don't think anyoen knows about them (and I have dogs). And the fruit was really too small for humans, but maybe deer would be less particular.

I think I've almost done what you've done here. I have two trees that are about 4 years old. But I need to cut back leaders. Maybe the fruit will get bigger then. I live in Maryland. The past two years, when the fruit has just started to approach getting big enough to consider picking, there has been one day where ALL the fruit would disappear. I'm wondering if deer took it. We definitely have deer where I live. It wouldn't be humans....

I really enjoy your videos. Question for you- so you do not need to prune any of the scaffolds back at all after heading off the leader? will they "take over" dominance? Should the scaffolds be weighted down at all? thank you for any info!
