Here is a neat and easy project on how to make a chicken egg incubator. Doesn't take long to make. The eggs will hatch in 21 days. I give you all the guidelines for successfully incubating the chickens including what to do and how to make the incubator.

  • Hey, I really need someone to answer this question. Will this incubator work for one egg? Or should i put at least two eggs in it ? Please respond !

  • @irunforlive12 One egg will be quite ok. But... you really should do more than one because chicken eggs have a hatching rate % . That one egg might not hatch.

  • where did get the eggs, and you where did you buy the thermometer thing, please reply

  • @roryfuntime the eggs have to come from a farm. The thermometer I bought at walmart.

  • how much water do u add at a time when trying to raise the humidity once it starts going down? what us ur hatch rate with this incubator? and whats a good price estimate for everything (except for picture glass, i have that)?

  • @ErinsReadings 1/4 cup, 25% ( I only hatched one batch , there is a vid), 5 dollar cooler, 7 dollar thermometer, 10 dollar lamp, 1 dollar screen.

  • Thank you so much for answering my last question, sorry but i have two more! After the egg has hatched how much longer do you wait to take it out, and move it to the box? Also, at what age do you take it out of the box and move it to the coop? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks.. (:

  • where can u get a cooler like that, and how much does it cost?

  • @TomAndJerry246 yes, just add water. Use a low watt bulb and keep it away from the sides.
