Legend of Oasis Story of Thor 2 - sega Saturn

I really liked the Megadrive/Genesis version and the Saturn version (I think) is just as good although some of those puzzles are tricky. The music by Yuzo Koshiro well its not really his best IMO. Made by Ancient (Streets of Rage anyone)? Known as Story of Thor 2 but in the USA it was changed to Legend of Oasis.

well.. i was a little underwhelmed with Shining Wisdom because I didn't think it pushed the system to any new heights.. it was just ok. You might like it more than me.

And the sound is a bit out-of-sync in this vid, but it seems as though some of the sound effects (like the ball of light, or the opening of a door to one of the elementals, simply aren't as good as in the Genesis original.

yea im trying to figure out why it goes out of sync.. it seems to happen a lot on my vids especially once I been recording over 5 mins..

hope they do a Saturn collection for the wii/360. Pity the Saturn is so hard to emulate.

Shame that this brilliant game series drifted into obscurity. If circumstances were different, this could have been as big as Zelda or Prince of Persia

This was the shit game. Another undeserved title. Fun as hell, shoulda had a sequel instead of the snes one (which is the 'second' game, not direct)

@hitmonnorris This is one of those games that. Well. Its a brilliant game. Really nice looking, nice sounding, etc. But! It left me feeling that it should have been a whole lot better. I felt that the Megadrive original was a bit more complete, and even that could have been better. Its like Streets of Rage combined with something like Zelda. Sounds awesome, right? Well, that's why its brilliant, but it could have been better. Should you buy it? Sure! Just don't pay a lot for it. A fiver I reckon

@ps2gether I reckon Sega would be best developing a portable Saturn with a download shop for their saturn games. Would be ace if it was like an iphone type thing, especially seeing as (now I'm not entirely sure about this but) Sonic Jam had megadrive emulation for the sonic games, so they could even release megadrive games for it, and I've heard that (obviously not having tried it myself) that SMS and GG emulation isn't a million miles away from MD emulation. I'm dreaming XD

Doesn't have rocking music like Beyond Oasis, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't fit the atmosphere well.
