Thankyou Soapking, I hadn't remembered, and since I know the song, "You Needed Me", I'm a little embarrassed. Do you know if it is posted? Is it in the episodes listed as "You Needed Me?"

@Soapking1965 No the blonde who replaced Kristin was Jennifer Cooke, not Jessica. As much as I like Kristin, I think the way Doug Marland was going to write the story of Morgan from August 1981 onward it was better to not have Kristin play the character. I have a feeling no one would believe Kristin as Morgan having an affair with Robert Newman's Josh Lewis. (Cooke was an entirely different story).

Does anyone remember Kristen Vigard (Morgan) singing to Kelly, I think at Laurel Falls? Does anyone know if it is up, and if so, under what title? I would love to hear it again!

This is a catchy song, I've never heard it before. It's a great tribute to Morgan and Kelly. They were such a pure and earnest soap couple, at least before they recast Morgan. Vigard and Shipp were both wonderful. And Doug Marland wrote a beautiful story, refusing to let the network or P&G "punish" Morgan, as they wanted.

Back in the early 1980s, most teenagers rushed home to watch GENERAL HOSPITAL's Luke and Laura. Those who were more with it watched more superior couples on other soaps. THE GUIDING LIGHT's Kelly Nelson and Morgan Richards were one such couple. John Wesley Shipp (THE FLASH, DAWSON'S CREEK) played the handsome Kelly and Kristen Vigard (ONE LIFE TO LIVE, GRACE OF MY HEART) originated the role of Morgan.
