@squirrelscanskate Actually I go Lobstering in the Keys all the time and the rule is, You must be at least 200 feet from a residential section or business during mini season, which only last for 2 days. Even if it was mini season he's more than likely, legal. But another rule is they must be measured in the water to prevent shock or damage. I catch Lobster along the highway all the time and they're AWESOME!

Dude, I know what you mean (as I am now in Oregon!) But heading back to FL again this winter...The river crawdads(crayfish) don't quite fill me up!

Yep, it is next to the highway...nothing is too far from the highway since the keys are all connected by it (unless you are out on the ocean). There are tons of more remote areas to do this of course, I just happened to stumble upon this one.
