Firebreather from Classic Design Concepts

This is the Pontiac Firebird we all wish would have happened if ....well Pontiac was still around! Exodus Studios(a Michigan-based film studio) collaborated with Classic Design Concepts of Novi, Michigan, to build and designed the custom Firebreather. The one-off Camaro was designed by Ajmal Ahmad, the writer and director of the upcoming sci-fi film Jinn, in which the FireBreather will make its big screen debut.

Underneath the slightly reworked sheetmetal is a fresh out of the factory Camaro SS! but the creative team from Classic Design Concepts have outfitted it with a new front fasica, hood, rear fascia and some extraordinarily hot-looking wheels. The new nose has a bit of Pontiac Trans-Am in it and that I really digg. No modifications have been made to the Camaro's 6.2-liter V8, but CDC has fitted an Eibach Pro-Plus Performance handling package, stickier Pirelli PZero Rosso tires, as well as what appears to be custom stiched headrests with the Firebreather logo.

With a limited build of only 50 its sure to be a collectible. If you want one it will run you about 60K, but you better hurry before they sell all 50!

Really awesome! 8D Glad to see so many fanatics re-making the Firebird even though Pontiac is no more. :( Although I do love Pontiac, most of their models were basically clones of other models these days(ex: G6 and Cobalt basically the same car). Hardly any inspiration to get out an original design...

Most were clones but clones with better more masculine lines. I always liked pontiacs growing up its sad to see them go. BTW the G6 and cobalt are different platforms. The Cobalt is comparable to the G5 and the G6 is on the same architecture as the Malibu strangely enough.

if i was able to buy one of these and had the money to do things i would totally put Trans Am graphics from the 77 model screaming chicken and everything change the wheels to the Year one snowflakes then remove the motor and put in a Super charged Pontiac 400 crate motor and call it a Trans Am

I totally agree if I had the means I would love this with a Screaming Chicken on the hood. I am sure it had a little to do with copyrights as to why we won't see one out of CDC with one on the hood. I personally would like to see either and LSA or LS9 engine under the hood.

Can GM still make Pontiac cars? If so make this a special "Pontiac Fire breathing chicken Rebirth" Put the Pontiac shield on it, call it a Trans Am, and see if it steals more sales from the Fords Dodges and Chevies (or is it Chevys?) Or has GM sold all rights to Pontiac?
