  • sounds like the roar of a cop car, the crown vic's must use the same motor.

  • Nope the Crown Vics motor is a 2v and the Mark VIII's is a 4v

  • @mark0101 does that mean its faster than a crown vic? even a stock mark?

  • @GodBlessNYC Most definitely. It would be about 1 - 1.5 seconds faster than a crown vic in the 1/4 mile.

  • @mark0101 cuz im bouta buy this 95 mark 8 (not the lsc) n is it as fast as urs??

  • @GodBlessNYC Should be even faster than mine as Gen 1 are faster. Of course it has to be maintained or it could be very slow if it needs maintenance.

  • @GodBlessNYC For the oil in mine I put 60% good 5w30 castrol oil(regular), 1 bottle of lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer(very thick) and 1 bottle of royal purple 5w30 synthetic(very thin) to give the best blend for the motor. Basically everything except oil changes, transmission fluid changes, the yearly seafoaming is a one time thing. You may also want to get a couple of cans of "corrosion free rust cure formula 3000" and spray the body metal around the wheels, undernieth and in the gas cap area.

  • @GodBlessNYC spark plugs and wires, clean the maf sensor with maf cleaner, all the black vacuum lines will break if you touch them in the engine compartment(the hard plastic ones), Get transmission fluid changes @30k, Do a J-Mod on the transmission, Install an aftermarket transmission cooler. Give the engine a yearly seafoam engine clean,n when you do your oil change afterwards, keep the bolt out and pour some new oil through the engine to get the last of the crud out. Use Wix Filters NOT FRAM.

  • @mark0101 what are the maintanences i shuld check n how often .. if yu dont mind tellin me

  • lol just shifting into 3 at 100. i loved my mark

  • @TejpalTV Ya Lincoln was the FIRST to use the 4.6 back in '91, intended to counter GM's Northstar Cadillac motor, then Crown Vic got it in I think '92 or '93 or something, mustang in '96, then F-series in '97, and lastly Explorer in '02. Now it's the new Coyote 5.0's turn;) 400+hp and 360+lb.ft., Beware GM.....
