This was my very first project for a "digital video crash course" I took at the Light Factory in Charlotte, NC, in 2003.
Update: The music for this video was swapped on YouTube on 12/11/10.
Story behind the video:
One day I saw a woman driving furiously in a small car down the Interstate. There was a mattress tied to the top of her car and a large picnic cooler tied to the driver's-side rear door handle, bumping along the pavement. Inside the car, the woman was completely surrounded by a disorganized assortment of her "stuff", to the point where she had to drive with her arms crunched in and her body very close to the steering wheel.
I think I spotted the same woman last year:

was she going camping or something?

Well, the real woman I patterned this video after looked like she was really moving as far away as possible and as fast as she could. I imagine that the woman used the cooler to scoop up all of the important items that were in the refrigerator and then found she couldn't jam the cooler into the car.
If I had the time, I would do this video using more props- a large mattress on the hood and larger cooler.
