Personally, I find people who hate others because they have different tastes fucking stupid. I couldn't care less about whether you like them or not. Listen to what works for you. That said, I am curious to know what motivates someone to visit a music video of a band they dislike, seemingly only to broadcast to everyone that they dislike that band. Does that not seem odd to you? I mean, if I felt compelled to announce all that I hate on YouTube, I wouldn't have time to watch the videos I like!

There's no need to defend him, because I wasn't in any way on the offensive. And, yes, he is perfectly entitled to his opinion, which is why I said I was indifferent to whether he likes them or not; I didn't judge the fact that he disliked them. As for his already having watched a few videos and then commented; you're quite right - I was aware of that possibility afterwards. Still, his remark seemed so terse as to appear provocative. That's why I was curious. By the by, I prefer their old stuff.

in his defense, he could have been checking them out, had already heard a few videos before this one, and during this video decided that he didn't like them. he has all the right to express himself, doesn't he? it's the internet, we're talking about free will rights. by the way, i love the deftones sincerely. just another perspective on this.
