Like any proud parent, I'm making far too many videos of my beloved child and boring people with them. Oh well. Wonder when Diggory is going to figure out he's adopted? I know he's young but surely he must have thought it a bit unusual by now that he's an inch long and Mommy is 1000 times bigger than him...

  • Ummmm... I don't believe that's a "vampire" bat just because of it's face. I live in Wisconsin. Our bats have blunt noses and protruding ears. But they eat our local vampires... mosquito's!!! LMAO

  • Aww!

I've been wanting a bat for quite some time.

Can you domesticate them and keep them as pets?

    Where'd you get it??

  • @claireaitchison

Bats probably don't make very good pets, they tend to live in colonies where they are happiest- as they are social animals. Although some species do live in small groups, generally they never live alone as a rule of thumb. They are also very delicate and require alot of food (bugs) and places to fly, so unless you are a specialist or have a large encloser it is probably best to let this wild animal be free. I am hoping this guy got set free when he was old enough.

  • It looks like a mini man

  • SOOOOOO CUUUUUUUTTTEEEEEEEE *o*

  • will it get bigger

  • @BlastTheBat And why didn't my comment post earlier. Its tagged as a pipistrelle though, a member of a different family than the relatives of Desmodus rotundus, which live in like central and south america. Its the species like Desmodus rotundus that kinda suck and give the rest of chiroptera a bad name.

  • Why is it doing that to its patagium

  • i want a pet bat. how do i go about getting a healthy one ?
