First let me say much respect. I appreciate what is being done here. Cajun music being brought outside of Louisiana for others to hear. But I just have to say how funny I find it to hear non-Cajuns sing Cajun music:) That's not an insult to the singer, though. He did a great job. Type in Valse de Balfa to hear one of my favorite Cajun songs.

Thanks for your honest and insightful comments. As you correctly noticed I am not from Louisiana. I learned the lyrics phonetically from a Vin Bruce recording. Our bass player, who founded the group, is a Creole gentleman who grew up in Eunice, LA and Beaumont, TX. Creole French is his first language. He does help me with my French some, but my Bakersfield twang always gives me away.
