This is my new (old) PowerMac G3 that will be a storage center for all of my media files once I figure out how to connect it to my Macbook...

If you like this kind of stuff you can check out my blog at: http://worldofmacs.blogspot.com/

I try to keep everything that I might not be able to put into a video there.

  • FIRST COMMENT OF 2012 (:

  • @coffeeandsugar20

    windows is awsome

  • This was my first mac and I first saw it at our CAD design labs at our school, and my bro eventually got me one, loved it, sold it, but getting a dual 1Ghz G4, w00t! Love the case design, such beautiful machines and at the time were the most powerful personal computer that money could buy

  • @BlackHatLinwix No. Windows actually sucks so bad.

  • You probably already figured this out, but just FYI, the DIMM slots on the PowerMac G3 motherboard won't recognize more than 256 megabytes of RAM per slot. Plus, they only read up to PC-100. PC-133 will fit and work, but it will only operate at the PC-100 frequency.

    Kinda blows, but whatever.

  • So will you be upgrading your PowerMac G3 to Mac OS 10? (PowerMac G3s can run up to Mac OS 10.3 Panther and the fastest ones can run Mac OS 10.4 Tiger.)

  • thats why there are external hard drives

  • @LeMacMan no computer slows down overtime. sure, new more powerful machines are released, but a computer has the same speed from the day you bought it since the day you dump it (unless you add hardware like a new cpu, more ram, faster hdds or vgas

  • I live in the UK and I can buy 4 DVDS for £1!
