The thing that bugs me most about Cinderella stories is that from the beginning you can tell that "Cinderella" is beautiful. She's never ugly or acne proned or anything. Of course beautiful girls are going to get a break. No matter what their label. If they're pretty, they get a break anyway. HOW ABOUT AN UGLY CINDERELLA GETTING A CHANCE AT LIFE!?!?

@justsobella I did read a version like that once. I can't remember the title, but what happens is it picks up when the prince finds her home and finds her. She has splinters and big feet. She even tries to get him to change his mind. When he hold up the shoe, she says that it might not even fit her because she thinks that that was part of her Fairy Godmothers magic as well. It doesn't fit, but he chooses her anyway.
