Visit: http://www.sfphotorama.com for photos/videos of San Francisco and more.

Tu Lan is a complete dump but it certainly has really tasty food and it's always worth going for their Fried Rice and Ginger Chicken dishes. Get it to go or stay in if you don't mind the ambiance.

The food tends to be really cheap and affordable and always yummy. Try it if you're from out of town or live in San Francisco.

I shot this with my Canon Powershot G9 camera.

  • the curry shrimp fried rice, imperial rolls, and spicy ginger chicken are 3 of the best items you could ever be lucky enough to eat!

  • whoahhh....my dad works here!

  • I first came to Tu Lan Restaurant in 1992. It's the best. Their chow mein is extraordinary, not like a Chinese chow mein. Tu Lan uses a different pasta that is delicious to chew and it soaks up flavors of the impeccable sauce. Their fried rice is one of a kind. Incredible. The Imperial Rolls are fabulous. Go there. Sit at the counter. Watch as they cook everything. Glance at your menu and they'll let you know what they are making if you ask. Once you see what you'd like to try, go for it.

  • What foods do they serve & what is (are) the most popular dishes here? Anyone know? Thanks.
