Nice! This is very dark and mysterious. I loved how in the beginning you vaguely introduced some harp melodies. Once you ended the beginning, it began to sound amazing. Personally, i loved the eigth notes you used with the violin. Ive used that kind of instrument with the violin as well. It gives music like this a powerful effect, doesnt it? Anyway, great job with this one. Youre an awesome composer!

The sticato fast strings near the end.. how did you get that sound. I'm using Sibelius 6 but when i try to do something like this it just blurrs them together.

@PinHead432 Yes I see your point :). I'd actually like to see what a professional orchestrator would make from this, because indeed, I can't imagine it to be different than this; you're right about the close mind.

@geevow oh nothing against you at all, professional orchestrators will do the same, just sometimes to get someone else's look. Like if your editting an Essay its good to have someone look at it. Because you probably know your pieces very well and have a very close mind set with them and it helps to have a fresh look.

@PinHead432 Thanks! But why exactly "from someone else"? :D

very well done, would be very good with a little bit of refining, best from someone else
Great job! I could imagine this on a video game or film. Did you use the default midi track player on Sibelius 4 to do this? Or did you use another?

@24Pianist Thanks a lot! :) The sounds are virtual instruments that come with Sibelius Kontakt Player Gold; I actually don't think this is really default in Sibelius (maybe Kontakt Player Silver is default, I don't remember?). And so for the recording I only used Sibelius (not some other kind of sequencer)... I don't know if this answers your question, tell me if you wanted to know something else :)

@taguchi1 I made this with Sibelius 4, and I just put those notes staccato. Sib 4 has different sound samples than sib 6, so maybe that's the reason why it sounds different... A trick you might do is to put very short notes (like 64th notes) in stead of 16th notes for instance, the playback of the notes will automatically be shorter (but the sheet music gets very ugly in this way, and it's cumbersome to do :))
