A Book is what you put into it... they don't have to be pretty or immaculate.... Books should be filled with mistakes and errors.

going digital with correspondences - suggestion - use a spreadsheet, it's easier to cross reference. My book of mirrors is also digital, so that I can 'scratch out' more completely. And I bind my own BOS and when the book of mirrors gets long enough I print it out and bind it. The only reason I would write other personal stuff in a BOS is if you plan on "passing it down" to a future witch/neo-wiccan.

@BlueScarrab Good points! I've been thinking of going digital with my BOM for the next one. I'm almost finished with that notebook, and it doesn't seem practical to keep using more and more because I go through so many in a year. I think keeping it all on the computer would be easier and I'd easily have it with me most of the time to document things on the go.
Thanks for the tips.

@fleurdelacour5787 the only other thing I might add is that since it is so private, you may want to use a usb keychain or some such to store it on, so it's not on your regular hard drive - or password protect it. So if someone uses your computer, they aren't tempted. Kind of like a sibling reading a diary.

@BlueScarrab Good point. I'm not so much worried about that, but it's something to consider.
